Asian markets have rebounded overnight, with Korean and Japanese indices recovering more than 1.5% on the back of US tech earnings beats after Tuesday's painful session. But the recovery sits on fragile ground. WTI crude holds near $99 a barrel as the Strait of Hormuz impasse shows no sign of resolution - Secretary Rubio called an Iran peace deal "extremely difficult" this morning, and Iran's foreign minister confirmed the strait stays closed until Washington meets Tehran's conditions. Treasury yields at 5.13% on the 10-year continue to pressure gold, which has extended its losing streak to a fourth consecutive session near $4,115, while silver remains in a well-defined downtrend, off more than 14% from a month ago.

The session's defining event is UK September CPI at 07:00 London time, expected to accelerate to 3.4% year-on-year, which would be the hottest reading since December last year. With a November Bank of England rate hike now almost fully priced and sterling having already gained more than 1.3% over four sessions, GBP/JPY sits at the intersection of the two most extreme positioning reads in the CFTC dataset - the 0th-percentile GBP short against the 87th-percentile JPY long. A CPI beat could activate both legs of a mechanical squeeze simultaneously. A miss would send the pair to 210.00 and below with equal speed. Meanwhile, EUR/USD trades near 1.1225 with French military forces now being deployed to manage ongoing civil unrest, keeping the 0th-percentile EUR short from detonating.

The full briefing identifies the precise entry levels, stop placements, and early warning signals across all eight instruments for today's London and New York sessions, including the Institutional Pressure Watchlist and the scenarios that would catch the market entirely off guard.
