Trading Diary ~ Monday 25th March 2013
06:55am ~ It’s an early start for me today, I have builders arriving soon to do some work in the cellar so I was up an hour ago and while getting my breakfast I started watching my MT4 charts for any possible trades. Ten minutes ago I got into a short trade on GOLD and I can see a possible trade coming up on my EUR/USD chart if the price comes down a bit.
11:00am ~ I did get into the EUR/USD in the end and that trade is meandering down slowly, and my profit stands at +32 pips. My earlier GOLD trade is also trundling along nicely at a 69 pip profit. Although these trades are both “Any-Time” set-ups, my “trendFX” rules are suggesting that there is still some downward movement left, so I am going to stay in for a while longer. I will report back later with news of final scores.
2:05pm ~ Just getting ready for a cycle ride, probably my normal circuit over to Halesworth then back towards the coast at Walberswick then across the River Blyth bridge and back here, around 20 miles although in this bitingly cold wind it feels more like 200 miles….
My trades earlier came in at +107 pips (EUR/USD) and +191 (GOLD) giving me a total for the day of 298 pips.
5:15pm ~ After trading this morning and getting a reasonable profit from my endeavours, I would not normally have worried about trading this evening as well — but Sam the builder wanted me to explain what I spend my time doing in front of this laptop, so the easiest way to show him was to actually enter a trade using my ‘beginners’ system. I got into an S&P trade just before 5 o’clock and came out a couple of minutes ago with a 48 pip profit. We are retiring to the Lord Nelson now for a debrief on his construction efforts so far today.
Daily Target Reached ? YES (+346 pips) I traded from 6:30am through to 2pm today plus 30 minutes this evening
