Tuesday 10th January 2012 ~ Greece To Leave The Euro ?
8:30am ~ I got up here into my home office (above the garage) 15 minutes ago and immediately tuned on a couple of my screens to watch for any trades with my collection of trendFX strategies that may pop up in the next few hours – I also have some emails to catch up on as well. Three minutes ago I entered a (long) trade on the S&P500 chart as there was 3 separate signals for the trade. As many of you will know, my trendFX has FIVE separate trade strategies in the one trading manual, and my S&P chart just now showed a signal on strategies 1, 4 and 5 and I’ve just noticed there was also a pattern from my “Evening” trading system as well !! This means that there is a greater than normal chance of the trade being profitable, so we will see what happens in the next few hours – it’s certainly heading in the right direction so far.
When turning on my charts a few minutes ago, I also saw a trade signal on my GOLD chart, but the price has already gone past the trigger level, so I’ve missed than one. No matter, there are always plenty of trades to choose from in my experience. Any way, I’m going to get on with some emails now and I will report back later regarding the outcome of this S&P500 trade. I also have four Skype sessions with prospective customers before lunchtime.
I have a good article by Simon Denham regarding the Greek economic troubles and whether they are going to be forced out of the Euro – you can read about it here
10:25pm ~ Unusually for me, I have just closed off my last trade of my evening session, if you follow this blog, you will know that I am usually finished my evening trading by 7 o’clock or so, but tonight has been a very busy one as I’ve had three trades in total – the first two were losers, but the third came out ok and I’ve just finished this session with a +8 pip profit. My earlier trade this morning on the S&P500 came out at +40 pips, so all in all I am happy with my day’s trading, well over my target.
Daily Target Reached Today ? YES (+48 pips) I traded for a couple of hours this morning plus a long evening session
