8:30am.       I was up and downstairs in my study at 7 o’clock this morning – catching up on some emails that had come in overnight and also watching my 3 screens for possible trades with my trendFX system. We had a bit of a ‘down’ day on the major indicies yesterday and looking at the charts I have just opened up, it would seem there is much of the same happening, although with a bit less momentum. Europe does need to get it’s problems sorted out. Bloomberg this morning is full of the Greek problem together with possible grief for banks who are heavily exposed to Greece’s debt repayment problems.

Anyway – back to the screens – I only took a few minutes to spot a potential trade on the S&P index, so I watched patiently and at exactly 8 o’clock the price hit my trigger point and I was in a short trade. A few minutes after the entry I took a phone call so completely missed another trade entry on Brent Oil – but my S&P trade was going well, so no harm really. At 8:20am I came out of the market with a nice profit of +50 pips. There was a bit more to go but I’m off to get my haircut shortly and then I will be back to finish off my emails. I am then going on a cycle ride for the rest of the morning, and travelling up to Stansted Airport at lunchtime to pick a friend who is flying in from Spain. I will report back later this afternoon with news of my late afternoon trading (if there is any) Incidently, had I also taken the Brent Oil trade I missed, there would have been another +50 pip profit !!

7:15pm.      I got back home at 3 o’clock this afternoon and finished some email replying and at 5pm I switched on a laptop in the kitchen to watch for trades on my “Evening” system (Trade With A Day Job) and within a few minutes I was in a short trade. I was stopped out of this one but immediately there was another signal (as there often is) so I was once again short in the market – and this second trade proved to be ok and I came out ten minutes ago with an overall profit for this evening session of +43 pips.
