My Trading Day ~ Wednesday 1st June 2011
Not an early morning start to my working day for me today, I still feel a bit tired from the heavy long weekend I had, so I was not up until 9 o’clock and I did not get into the study and start getting my charts ready for another 20 minutes. I am often asked how long it takes me to get prepared for trading. Well – to turn on 3 computers + one of the laptops takes 2 minutes, then getting all the trading platforms up onto the screens with the economic calendar is another 3 or 4 minutes, then put the charts up ~ it is about ten minutes all in all – and as with all daily tasks, it does get quicker as the months/years go by.
As soon as I scanned all my usual charts, I could see two possibilities straight away with my new ‘price-action’ strategy (part of my new trendFX system) and at 9:40am exactly I was in a short trade with a favourite index. The price on this chart was moving slowly, so I left it alone for a while and kept an eye on the other 5 charts I had up on 3 screens, although if you have just one computer screen, you can easily fit them all on a single screen – email me and I will show you how.
Anyway – a second signal soon showed up, and at 10:34am I was in another short trade. This trade lasted nearly an hour and I came out with a +20 pip profit (the 1st trade was still going nowhere!!) At 11:27 I was in my 3rd trade a short on another favourite of mine, but that was stopped out at 13:15 – a few seconds before I got into my 4th trade. About 30 seconds later I called it a day on my 1st trade and came out with +34 pips. My last trade only went on for 14 minutes and at that stage I came out with another +20 pip profit as I was starting to get hungry, so I shot off to the pub to get a Ploughmans and a pint of Guinness.
The score for this morning with my new trendFX system was: Trade 1) +34 pips. Trade 2) +20 pips. Trade 3) -25 pips loss. Trade 4) + 20 pips. A total this morning of +49 pips for the new system. I will report back later about my “evening” trading session, although my youngest son is with me for a few days and he wants to go up to Leicester Square to watch a newly released film – Hangover 2 - so I may only manage an hour or so trading my “Trade With A Day Job” strategy. I’ll report back later and update this blog.
Update – 12:00 midnight: I did manage to have one trade earlier this evening – before we went out. My (short) trade kicked off after a signal at 5:45pm and at just after 7:30pm I was out with +56 pips. I could see that the index was going further down, but we were due out then. I have received quite a few emails from customers throughout the evening telling me of their scores above 100 pips on the same trade, so well done to them !!
If you are interested in getting hold of either the updated ‘starter‘ system or the new trendFX strategy, just email me for a special price.
Daily Target Reached ? YES (+105 pips) I traded both the morning session & a few hours this evening
