I was up dead early this morning after a very bad night’s sleep. I was awake from 5am onwards, and at 5:30 I gave up the fight to get back to sleep and got up instead. Once I had a shower and some toast for breakfast I was raring to go, and was in my home office (above the garage) at 6:15am.

I was watching for trade signals on my “Any-Time” strategy and I was in a EUR/USD trade at 6:26, which quite quickly rushed up over break-even and carried on going. Within 25 minutes I had a profit of +32 pips, so I closed it off and went off for a short push-bike ride to collect some papers.

I spent the morning doing emails and I have also organised a holiday next week for myself and ‘The Blonde’ in Taba (Egypt) – unfortunately she can only go away in school holidays as she is a lecturer in a local college – and I will take a couple of my laptops out with me so I can do a bit of trading while I am over there. I have been to this hotel before and they have excellent (& reliable) broadband, so I shouldn’t have too much problem.

Later this morning I am off for a short flight in a Piper P28 I part-own.  It has not been used at all since last September due to the crap weather we have been experiencing, so has been stored in a hanger at a farm near Cambridge. Going up there on my bike, to beat the traffic on the M11

Update ~ 11:45pm: Got home quite late after an impromptu trip to Calais to collect some plane spare parts to help a friend
