My Trading Day ~ Wed 30th & Thurs 1st Oct.
Good morning to all of you, on a lovely sunny Friday (well, in the South-East of England at least)
My birthday ‘break’ turned into a bit longer than originally planned – but that’s the joy of trading from home with NO boss – I can really please myself what I do.
I could feel a little bit of ‘Missing The Markets’ late yesterday afternoon, so I fired up the laptop in the garden and started watching the chart for my “Trade With A Day Job” system – and almost dead on 5pm I had a lovely signal to enter a long (upward) trade – and 20 mins later I was all finnished with 20 pips in the trading account.
There was – coincidently – another couple of trades that I could have taken in the next hour or so – but the whole point of this ‘starter’ system is to get you used to just earning a small regular amount of money, rather than striving for loads of pips. This regularity of earnings gives the newcomer much more confidence when starting out – and this is a key ingredient that a lot of trading systems seem to forget about. I know – I was once a ’Newbie’ believe it or not – and some of the frustration that can be felt has to be experienced first hand – it is too painful to describe. I know a few of you reading this, however, know exactly what I am going on about ! That subject is covered in my free eBook which can be downloaded now if you click HERE
I am ‘carefully’ trading my “Any-Time” system for most of today – I say carefully as the first Friday of the month is infamous Non Farm Payrolls Announcement time, so the markets tend to be in ‘limbo’ for most of the morning, waiting to see what the employment figures for the world’s biggest economy (The U.S.) are going to reveal about the state of their workers fortunes – and, as you probably know – the market usually reacts with volatility one way or the other. For the past 10 years I have traditionally had this day off every month – but I have been missing the charts this week – so I will be in front of them for most of the day. I will report back later !
